Membership in the HBADE Remodelers Council includes membership in The NAHB Remodelers Council. The NAHB Remodelers was founded in 1982 under the name the Remodelors™ Council as a department of the National Association of Home Builders. In 2007 the council rebranded to become the NAHB Remodelers. The council’s mission is to serve the remodeling industry and consumers by establishing a written code of ethics, quality standards and by offering information, education and professional designation programs.
NAHB Remodelers advocates professionalism, business and technical excellence and responsible government while representing the interests of the remodeling industry to regulatory, legislative, media, trade and consumer groups. As the recognized authority of the professional remodeling industry, NAHB Remodelers promotes the opportunity for safe and decent housing for all Americans through preservation and improvement of the existing housing stock.

National Home Remodeling Month
In May each year NAHB Remodelers works with local councils to raise public awareness of remodeling and to promote the benefits to consumers of hiring professional remodelers.
