The Key to getting the MOST of your membership is to get INVOLVED!
You are now a member of the HBA/DE and while you are the main contact who receives our information, your company is the member and all personnel may attend our functions or volunteer.
Functions are free for those who do volunteer for those functions, so pass along our
information to your staff.

Here are simple ways to make your dues work for you.
1. Join a committee
Committees are the best way to get involved quickly and start networking with
other members. A complete list of HBADE committees are available here.
2. Come to a membership mixer or meeting.
All members can network at our monthly mixers or meetings. Check the HBADE online
Calendar or call Jenn Hudson at 302-678-1520 for information on upcoming events.
3. Attend an event
Have fun and network at any of our events including Golf Outings, Meet the Builder Night,
Fundraisers, The Annual Ball, The Regal Awards Gala, and Associate’s Appreciation Night.
4. Join a council
The HBADE offers two specialized councils for our members. The Councils meet monthly
to focus on issues, events, education and networking with industry peers.
5. Participate in a community service project
Each year the HBADE organizes community service projects that help individuals and
charitable organizations within the community. Volunteers not only serve their community
but also network within the association.
6. Volunteer at membership meetings, mixers or events
No HBADE event would be successful without the help of volunteers. Help the HBADE and meet
new people at the same time.
7. Sponsor an event
Members can sponsor a variety of HBADE events and target specific markets. A full list
of sponsorships is available online or call Jenn Hudson at the HBADE office.
8. Promote your business through HBADE communications
Members have the opportunity to advertise on the HBADE website, in the e-Newsletter, the HBADE
Quarterly Newsletter, the Home Shows, through enhanced directory listings and more.
9. Sponsor/Mentor a new member
Sign up a new member in the association and begin working your way into the Spike Club.
Spike Members receive recognition and prizes for their efforts and new members gain value
through the mentor ship offered.
10. Participate in a consumer event
Many members enjoy the benefits of promoting their company to the public by
participating in one of our Home Shows or Festivals.
